Kun,

I miss your article soooo much!!!! Anyway, I want to share with you that I finally met veteran singer, Liang Ping in San Francisco. She goes to a church about twice a week. She is very friendly and sociable.

She also shared with the sad news that the other veteran singer, Li Jin Jie committed suicde in Singapore by jumping down from a highrise building. I'm not certain about the year. Perhaps you know more about it.

I can't wait to read your article again!!!!!

Best Regards,
Chris Tan

Chris,

I missed all of you too. Let's hope it won't be too long before I resume typing on the keyboard.

I've heard about the sad end of Li Jing Jie, but have so far refrained from discussing it because of a lack of details and because it's too scandalous. Now that you've got the news from a
singer of the same era, I think that confirms what I've heard. I don't know the year either. Nor did I know that it had all happened in Singapore. All that I could add is that it had something to do with a failure in plastic surgery. This is again subject to confirmation from people closer to the entertainment circle.

Ya Kun

Ya Kun,

Auntie Liang Pin told me the same story about Li Jing Xie. I believe it was either in the 60's or 70's. She said that Li Jing Xie was never married and had no children.

Have you ever met Liang Pin? If you happen to come to San Francisco and would like to interview her, I can take you to meet her. I have her email address. She speaks Cantonese and so do I. I also speak Mandarin.

Please, please can't wait to read your next article! Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,
Chris Tan
